Experience
I have been working with family disputes as a mediator for 19 years. I am currently on two Legal Aid panels - Family Conferencing and Care and Protection (for mediations concerning contact arrangements for children removed from parents by Childrens Court). I have 5 years experience working in a Family Relationship Center as a mediator and 2 years as a mediator with Relationships Australia. I have experience in mediations that include interpreters, Childrens Legal Representatives, support persons, lawyers and child consult practitioners. I have delivered FDR material conference presentations and am a guest lecturer on Family Dispute Resolution to 4th year law students at University of Newcastle. I was the secretary of Newcastle Chapter of Resolution Institute for 5 years and remain on the committee involved in presenting seminars to the ADR community in the Newcastle region. I evaluate applications for mediator national accreditation.
